A look at what happened at the board of education meeting.
March 17, 2014

President Don Simpson called the regular meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The agenda was approved with no amendments.  

The minutes from the previous meeting were approved.

Science Fair students led the Board in the Pledge of Allegiance and shared science fair projects.  Science Fair students in attendance were: Katie Winfree, Justice Jones, Quincey Bane, Tristan Jolley, Haley Parsons, Zachary Wisemiller, Hailey White, Hannah Haddock, Preston Gamble, Isaac Carlson, Chase Simpson, Jordan Langley, Maranda Chambers, Jazmin Flores and Ethan Flood.

Reports: Program Reviews:

The Board received reports on our Vocational Programs and Library Services.

New Business: 

A No-Tax Increase Bond campaign update was given.  PTO mailed out a flyer last week to every registered voter.  The Board reviewed the $40,000 operating fund savings for the District pending passage of the bond at no increased cost to tax payers.

The Board approved the FY15 Supplemental Salary Schedule.

The Board discussed Summer School revenues and expenditures.

The Board voted on certificated staff members and extra duty assignments for the 2014-2015 school year.

Monthly bills totaling $66,494.76 were approved.

The meeting was dismissed at 8:50 p.m. The next regular meeting is scheduled for April 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the library.
